DWELLING UNITS APPROVED STATE TRENDS The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in New South Wales fell 3.9% in June 2010 and has fallen for four months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses was flat following falls in the previous six months. VICTORIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Victoria fell 2.5% in June and has fallen for five months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 2.3% and has recorded six consecutive months of falls. QUEENSLAND The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Queensland fell 2.2% in June and is now showing falls for four consecutive months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 4.4% and has fallen for six months. SOUTH AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in South Australia fell 0.5% in June after rising for ten consecutive months. The trend estimate for the number of private sector houses fell 2.3% and is now showing falls for four months. WESTERN AUSTRALIA The trend estimate for total number of dwelling units approved in Western Australia fell 5.8% in June and has fallen for four consecutive months.
