The chart below shows the trend series and seasonally adjusted series to November 2013.

In current prices, the trend estimate for Australian turnover rose 0.5% in November 2013 following a rise of 0.5% in October 2013 and a rise of 0.5% in September 2013.

The seasonally adjusted estimate for Australian turnover rose 0.7% in November 2013 following a rise of 0.5% in October 2013 and a rise of 0.9% in September 2013.

The original estimate for Australian turnover rose 4.0% in November 2013. The original estimate for chains and other larger retailers rose 5.0% in November 2013. The original estimate for smaller retailers rose 2.2% in November 2013.

TOTAL RETAIL - BY STATE

The following states and territories rose in trend terms in November 2013: New South Wales (0.6%), Victoria (0.7%), Queensland (0.4%), Western Australia (0.4%), South Australia (0.3%), Tasmania (0.8%), the Australian Capital Territory (0.5%) and the Northern Territory (0.6%).

The following states and territories rose in seasonally adjusted terms in November 2013: Victoria (0.9%), Western Australia (1.3%), New South Wales (0.4%), Queensland (0.5%), South Australia (0.9%), Northern Territory (1.7%) and Tasmania (0.5%). The Australian Capital Territory (-0.2%) fell in seasonally adjusted terms in November 2013.
