KEY POINTS

Gross value quarterly original movements for March 2018:
  • The gross value of sheep and lambs increased 1.3% to $1,052 million following a 8.5% increase in the December 2017 quarter.
  • After a 11.2% decrease last quarter, the gross value of cattle and calves decreased 1.0% in the March 2018 quarter.
  • After remaining steady last quarter, the gross value of pigs increased 7.3% to $316 million.
  • The gross value of poultry decreased 9.4% to $640 million, following a 4.7% increase in the December 2017 quarter.
