In the June quarter 2008, the trend estimate for beef production increased by 1% to 535 thousand tonnes. MUTTON AND LAMB In the June quarter 2008 the trend estimate for mutton production rose by 3% to 68 thousand tonnes. The trend estimate for lamb production this quarter fell by 5% to 103 thousand tonnes. TOTAL RED MEAT The trend estimate for total red meat production fell marginally to 803 thousand tonnes in the June quarter 2008.
