AGGREGATE MONTHLY HOURS WORKED TREND ESTIMATES


FULL TIME

The trend estimate of full time aggregate monthly hours worked fell from 1,159 million hours in December 2000 to 1,143 million hours in November 2001. The trend then rose to 1,349 million hours in July 2008, before falling to 1,310 million hours in July 2009. Full time aggregate monthly hours worked has since risen to stand at 1,365 million hours in December 2010.

PART TIME

The trend estimate of part time aggregate monthly hours worked has risen from 161 million hours in December 2000 to 238 million hours in December 2010.

TOTAL

The trend estimate of total aggregate monthly hours worked fell from 1,320 million hours in December 2000 to 1,315 million hours in November 2001. The trend then rose to 1,566 million hours in July 2008 before falling to 1,535 million hours in June 2009. The trend has since risen to stand at 1,602 million hours in December 2010.
