Main Features Employed Persons,Trend estimates Unemployed Persons,Trend estimates Aggregate monthly hours worked,Trend estimates About this Release Australia's unemployment rate at 5.4 per cent in April 2010 (Media Release)	AGGREGATE MONTHLY HOURS WORKED TREND ESTIMATES FULL TIME The trend estimate of full time aggregate monthly hours worked fell from 1,172 million hours in April 2000 to 1,143 million hours in November 2001. The trend then generally rose to 1,337 million hours in July 2008, then fell to 1,293 million hours in July 2009, before rising to stand at 1,309 in April 2010. PART TIME The trend estimate of part time aggregate monthly hours worked has steadily risen from 158 million hours in April 2000 to 229 million hours in April 2010. TOTAL The trend estimate of total aggregate monthly hours worked fell from 1,330 million hours in April 2000 to 1,315 million hours in November 2001. The trend then generally rose to 1,552 million hours in July 2008 before falling to 1,515 million hours in June 2009. The trend has since risen to stand at 1,538 million hours in April 2010.
