CHANGES IN THIS AND FORTHCOMING ISSUES

CHANGES IN THIS ISSUE

Statistics presents on the OECD country group

As advised in the previous issue, new members of the OECD, Israel and Estonia, have been included in the OECD country group. This impacts the OECD data in table 2 of this publication. These countries have been included in the OECD country group for the complete merchandise trade time series (ie. data from January 1988).

Amendment to gold and silver merchandise trade data outside the normal revision period

The Customs Tariff codes for some gold and silver imports have been amended on a merchandise trade basis in the months January 2010 and March 2010. These months are outside the normal revision period for merchandise trade data. The changes will not impact on the presentation of statistics in this publication but will impact on detailed import statistics at the 5-digit Standard International Trade Classification (SITC) and Harmonised Tariff Item Statistical Classification (HTISC) levels available via ABS Client Services.

CHANGES IN FORTHCOMING ISSUES
