The Family Wellbeing Symposium - 20 and 21 June 2007, Canberra.

The Family Wellbeing Symposium was attended by 130 people from a range of family, political, government, community and research backgrounds. The Symposium explored latest Australian and international research and policy on family wellbeing, identified current and emerging influences on family wellbeing in Australia, critically discussed family wellbeing definitions, models and frameworks (with an emphasis on ways of measuring) and identified areas for further research or policy development.

Children and Youth Statistics Advisory Group (CYSAG) meeting - 28 September 2007, Canberra.

The Children and Youth Statistics Advisory Group (CYSAG) met in September, with the main focus of discussion being the review of the Children and Youth Information Development Plan. Discussion also included updates on statistical developments from the ABS and member agencies.

ARACY Symposium - What Matters in Early Childhood: A Conversation with Leading National and International Experts - 29 October 2007, Goonellabah.

This symposium brought to the North Coast region a range of national and international speakers to discuss key issues in early childhood education and care.

2007 Longitudinal Study of Australian Children Conference - 3 and 4 December 2007, Melbourne.

The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for the discussion of research based on LSAC data and to highlight its research potential. Disadvantage and diversity: Australia's Welfare 2007 Conference - 6 December 2007, Canberra.

A one-day conference to be held in the nation's capital, will provide a forum for debate and discussion on some of the issues facing Australia's Welfare. Topics covered will include ageing and aged care, children, youth and families, welfare service resources, and the dynamics of homelessness.
