Image: Introduction INTRODUCTION

This product provides a range of information about the release of microdata from the Australian Census and Migrants Integrated Dataset (ACMID), 2011 project. It includes a summary of the methodology used to create the ACMID, 2011 and details about how to use TableBuilder. A Data Item list, the conditions of use and quality statements are also provided.

The ACMID, 2011 relates to people who have migrated to Australia under a permanent Skilled, Family or Humanitarian stream visa and 'arrived' in Australia between 1 January 2000 and 9 August 2011. For more information, see Linking Methodology.

Microdata are the most detailed information available from a Census, or administrative data collection process and are generally the responses to individual questions on questionnaires or forms. They also include derived data from answers to two or more questions and are released with the approval of the Australian Statistician.
