NORTHERN TERRITORY

  • In 2015-16, the ten SA2s with the largest population increases in the Northern Territory were within Greater Darwin. The SA2 of Palmerston - South had the largest growth (350 people), followed by Darwin City (290) and Lyons (220) on the northern fringe of the city.
  • Palmerston - South was also the fastest growing SA2 in the Northern Territory in 2015-16, up by 26%. This was followed by Lyons (7.0%), Darwin City (4.7%) and the inner Darwin area of Parap (3.2%).
