TASMANIA

  • In 2015-16, six of the ten SA2s with the largest population increases in Tasmania were within Greater Hobart. The SA2 of Rokeby, in Hobart's east, had the largest growth (180 people), followed by Kingston Beach - Blackmans Bay in the south and Sorell - Richmond in the north-east (both 130).
  • Rokeby was also the fastest growing SA2 in Tasmania in 2015-16, up by 3.1%. This was followed by Hadspen - Carrick (3.0%) in Tasmania's north, Cygnet in the Huon Valley and Old Beach - Otago in Hobart (both 2.5%).
