SOUTH AUSTRALIA

  • In 2015-16, the ten SA2s with the largest population increases in South Australia were all within Greater Adelaide. The outer southern SA2 of Seaford had the largest growth (930 people), followed by Northgate - Oakden - Gilles Plains (820), Munno Para West - Angle Vale (710) and Gawler - South (560), all in Adelaide's outer north.
  • Greater Adelaide also contained nine of the ten fastest-growing SA2s in South Australia. Munno Para West - Angle Vale was the fastest growing (6.7%). This was followed by Seaford (4.2%) and Northgate - Oakden - Gilles Plains (3.4%).
  • Of the SA2s outside of Greater Adelaide, those with the largest growth were Murray Bridge and Nuriootpa (both 200), Victor Harbor and Light (both 180). The SA2s with the fastest growth were Nuriootpa (3.0%) and Light (2.0%), both in the state's Barossa region.
