Livestock and meat production monthly trend movements for October 2015:
  • Cattle slaughter and meat production continued to slow in October 2015.
  • Calf slaughter and meat production continued to ease in October 2015 reflecting the seasonal nature of this sector of the industry.
  • Sheep slaughter has continued to increase in October 2015 following recent low numbers in April 2015.
  • Lamb slaughter and meat production increased in October 2015.
  • Pig slaughter and meat production rose slightly in October 2015.
