23 The most detailed categories of the ANZSPC (seven, nine or eleven digits) are determined by a combination of factors. Statistical user requirements are a prime factor, but any proposal for a product is subject to the requirement that the product align as closely as possible with the detailed Subclass (five digit) level of the CPC2. Alignment to the Group (three digit) level of the CPC is an absolute minimum requirement unless special circumstances apply.
