Conclusion
The data presented in this paper are experimental, and have been produced to provide further context to the impacts on businesses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
While providing interesting insights on the changes to businesses during these events, due to the experimental nature of these statistics care should be taken when using the data for analysis or to draw conclusions about the impact on the economy.
While the release of experimental quarterly data is not intended to continue beyond this paper, the new data sources and methodology are being explored as part of a review to inform the future development of the annual CABEE publication.
