A. Yes, the ABS collects and publishes an array of information on Industry including Agriculture, Construction, Mining, Manufacturing, Transport and Tourism.

Q. What information does the ABS produce on Transport?
A. The ABS collects and publishes transport information relating to Sales of new motor vehicles, motor vehicle characteristics (including make, year of make and fuel type), and vehicle use characteristics (including distance travelled, tonne-kilometres and fuel consumption).
Statistics related to Methods of Travel to Work and Number of Motor Vehicles per Dwelling are available through the Census Data Online portal from information obtained in the 2006 Census.
