Q. Does the ABS collect information specific to Government use?
A. Yes, the ABS recognises the importance of providing information to assist government in planning and delivering services in their communities. ABS clients in the Local Government sector include individual councils, groups of councils, and the state/territory and Australian Local Government Associations.
The ABS also provides information on training and services specific to States. Along with information tailored to Federal Government which is designed to assist policy and decision makers.
