||Patrick Hadley is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for the ABS. He leads the Technology Services Division (TSD) in providing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) leadership and services for all areas of the ABS.|
Patrick has over 20 years’ experience in ICT leadership and change management in both the public and private sectors.
Patrick joined the Child Support Agency (CSA) in October 2005 and as CIO led the technology enablement to support the largest reform agenda in Child Support since its inception. In subsequent roles within the Department of Human Services (DHS) Patrick was departmental CIO and General Manager for technology integration of Medicare, CSA and DHS infrastructure within the portfolio.
Prior to his move to the public sector, Patrick held IT leadership positions in the private sector with Insurance Australia Group, Westpac, the Commonwealth Bank and Coles Myer. This included major ICT and business transformation programs involving mergers and acquisitions, regulation and compliance, outsourcing and in sourcing arrangements and new business ventures.
Patrick has a prior background in business consultancy, and has lived and worked in Europe and the Middle East as well as Australia. He participates across government as a Gateway reviewer and Career Development Assessment Centre (CDAC) observer.
Patrick holds a Master in Practicing Accounting from Monash University and professional qualifications from the UK Institute of Marketing, Institute of Management Services and in business studies.
