||Lane Masterton was appointed as the Regional Director of the Victorian Office in July 2010 after holding Senior Executive roles within the ABS in Information Technology and Household and Business Collection Services. Lane has spent much of his career in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) roles with the ABS, the Australian Customs Service and within private industry. |
In his current role as Regional Director, Lane is responsible for the overall management of the Victorian Office. The Victorian Office has approximately 250 staff located in Melbourne and another 210 survey interviewers across Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia. The Victorian Office incorporates a wide range of work including the National Centre for Crime & Justice Statistics, the National Business Register for ABS business statistics, Annual Integrated Collections (economic), the Operations Research Unit, State Government and client servicing, the Monthly Population Survey and other household surveys, as well as corporate and technology services.
Lane holds a Bachelor Degree in Information Management from Deakin University.
