 | Frank Yu is the First Assistant Statistician of the ABS 2017 Program Management and Infrastructure Division at the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
Frank has worked in the ABS since 1992, and headed the Statistical Analysis Branch from 2001 to 2009, responsible for providing leadership in survey design and methodology development. Frank also worked as head of the Analytical Services Branch in 2009, and was head of the Methodology and Data Management Division from 2010 to July 2012.
Frank has degrees in mathematics and statistics and is an Accredited Statistician of the Statistical Society of Australia, Incorporated. He is the editor of the Survey Statistician, a newsletter published by the International Association of Survey Statisticians. Frank Yu is First Assistant Statistician of the Methodology and Data Management Division. As chief methodologist of the organisation, he has responsibility for leading methodological developments to meet demands in statistics, and ensuring the methods and standards underlying ABS outputs are based on sound, defensible statistical principles and are cost effective.
Frank has degrees in mathematics and statistics and is an Accredited Statistician of the Statistical Society of Australia, Incorporated. He is the editor of the Survey Statistician, a newsletter published by the International Association of Survey Statisticians.
