ABS 2017 Group


Who we are

The ABS 2017 Group brings together the organisations key strategic initiative to transform information management with the public face of the ABS. The group has an important role in building strong relationship with our ABS household and business data providers and users of statistical information.

We aspire to lead the world's best practice in the efficient and effective collection and communication of statistical information and to successfully transform information management to better support evidence based decision making and research in Australia. We work with other business areas of the ABS and information management stakeholders internationally across the National Statistical service in order to achieve these goals.

We are also responsible for planning and implementation of the future Australian Census of Population and Housing, which is conducted every 5 years.

You will be a excellent communicator with strong analytical skills to support transformational change.

What you will be doing
