Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC)
The department carries out a range of research projects on immigration, population and settlement issues, and provides immigration and citizenship data to other government agencies and the community in general.
Settlement and demographic information, for example, is available in customised reports from DIAC's Settlement Database while summary descriptions of Overseas-born Australian communities can be found in their 'Community Information Summaries'. Australian Social Science Data Archive (ASSDA)
The ASSDA was established at The Australian National University in 1981 to collect and preserve data relating to social, political and economic affairs and to make the data available for further analysis. ASSDA holds over 2000 datasets, ranging from 1943 to the present and includes surveys that investigate migrant experiences and issues.

Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
The Demography and Population section includes a database on immigrants and expatriates in OECD countries and international migration data.
United Nations Population Division
The United Nations Population Division World Migrant Stock database allows users to extract migrant population data by selecting a range of variables by country or region.
National Statistical Agencies
Links to the national statistical agencies of over 150 countries from around the world.
