Labour Statistics: Concepts, Sources and Methods (cat. no. 6102.0.55.001).
This manual describes the concepts and definitions underpinning Australian labour statistics, the data sources and the methods used in the collection and compilation of these statistics. For further information on workforce participation and barriers see Chapter 7. Not in the Labour Force. Separate chapters are available for each separate survey.

Information papers
Information Paper: Outcomes of the Labour Household Surveys Content Review, 2012 (cat. no. 6107.0) presents the outcomes of the Labour Household Survey Content Review. It outlines the intended changes to the Labour Force Survey and the labour supplementary surveys resulting from the review, as well as a timeframe for their implementation.
