Topics @ a Glance - Children and Youth

The ABS produces statistics covering a range of topics relevant to children and youth including family, community, social participation, health, education and work. These statistics play an important role in describing the lives of children and youth and can illuminate problems they experience and some of the factors associated with those problems. For these reasons, statistics are integral to research, policy design and program evaluation, which aim to improve the wellbeing of children and youth.

This Topics @ a Glance page provides a guide to both ABS and non-ABS data, identifying the wide range of information available on children and youth. A number of links are provided to publications and Feature articles, many of which can be accessed online, free of charge.
