OTHER PUBLISHED DATA

Housing Finance, Australia (cat. no. 5609.0) - Contains time series data for secured and unsecured housing finance commitments for owner occupation, commitments for the construction or purchase of dwellings for rent or resale, and loan outstanding to individuals/households for housing. For secured housing finance for owner occupation, this publication presents the number and value of commitments made by banks, permanent building societies, wholesale lenders n.e.c. and other lenders, provided to individuals/households. These commitments are classified by construction of dwellings, the purchase of new and established dwellings, the re-financing of existing dwellings and alterations and additions to dwellings.

Measures of Australia's Progress (cat. no. 1370.0) - Considers some of the key aspects of progress side by side and discusses how they are linked with one another. It does not purport to measure every aspect of progress that is important. Nor does it consider all of the many different ways in which parts of Australia or groups of Australians are progressing. But it does provide a national summary of many of the most important areas of progress, presenting them in a way which can be quickly understood by all Australians. It informs and stimulates public debate and encourages all Australians to assess the bigger picture when contemplating progress.

Lending Finance, Australia (cat. no. 5671.0) - Contains statistics for secured housing finance, other personal finance, commercial and lease finance. Also includes thematic tables on the financing of housing for owner occupation as well as for commitments for the purchase of land, or for the construction or purchase of dwellings for rent or resale.

House Price Indexes: Eight Capital Cities (cat. no. 6416.0) - Provides estimates of changes in house prices for each of the eight capital cities of Australia, in the form of price indexes for established houses and for newly constructed houses (excluding land). The indexes measure price movements over time in each
city individually. They do not measure differences in price levels between cities.
