Dear Stats Network member
Invitation to Stats Network meeting, 10 October 2001
Venue: The meeting will be in the Crawford Room (5th floor) of DFAT. Members will need to report to the main reception area on the ground floor and tell the receptionist that they are here for the Stats Network meeting. They will then be escorted to the room.
Parking at DFAT is usually not easy, however we're fortunate that the meeting is being held in school holidays, which should ease the situation.
DFAT is in the R.G Casey Building in Barton. The building occupies the block between Brisbane Avenue and Sydney Avenue to the sides, State Circle at the back and John McEwen Crescent at the front. There are three entrances: from Brisbane Avenue, Sydney Avenue and the main entrance off John McEwen Cres. There is a large bitumen carpark opposite the Brisbane Avenue entrance with unrestricted parking. There are also a number of 2 hour parks on the road near the Brisbane and Sydney Avenue entrances, and in front of the building off John McEwen Crescent. If entering from Sydney Avenue, members will need to go down the stairs near the Passports Office and past the lifts to the main reception area.
Time: 2pm - 4pm
- DFAT's use of ABS and other data, and DFAT's TREC (Trade Exports Classification) - Neil Batty, DFAT
- Analyzing huge datasets - Ken Tallis, Analysis Branch, ABS
- Environment statistics - Bob Harrison, Environment & Energy Stats, ABS
