2001 Census of Population and Housing - CDATA 2001 Update
 
 


The CDATA 2001 Release 2 products were released on the 26th of June 2003.

The ABS & MapInfo have addressed software & data issues
(Correction of Prison Data for Queensland) with the CDATA 2001 Release 2 products, and have now developed 2 patch files. (CDATA 2001 Release 2 - Revision 1.0 & Revision 2.0).

Current CDATA 2001 users have automatically been sent the 'CDATA 2001 Release 2 - Patch Files CD-ROM', containing both the Revision 1.0 & Revision 2.0 patch files.

The CDATA 2001 Release 2 - Revision 1.0 patch file is too large to place on the ABS website.

If users have not received their 'CDATA 2001 Release 2 - Patch Files CD-ROM', please send an email to
client.services@abs.gov.au and type CDATA 2001 Release 2 - Patch Files on CD-ROM request in the subject field. Please also include the following details;

- Name
- Organisation
- Postal Address (including State & Postcode)
- Contact telephone number
- Your CDATA 2001 barcode.

The Revision 2.0 contain further fixes for minor faults detected in the CDATA 2001 Release 2 products.

The CDATA 2001 Release 2 - Revision 2.0 patch file may be executed from this page or downloaded and executed from your PC.
Note: The CDATA 2001 Release 2 - Revision 2.0 patch file is quite large (approximately 28.2 mb).

Important Points:
1. To successfully install the CDATA 2001 Release 2 – Revision 1.0 patch file, you will require 400 MB of free hard disk space.

2. It will be necessary for each CDATA 2001 User, to manually set 2nd Census Data Path to the CDATA 2001 Release 2 – Revision 1.0 patch file location. ie., C2001REV1

For detailed information regarding setting your Census Data Paths, please refer to the help topic located in the CDATA 2001 product, entitled
'Census Data Paths'.

3. To successfully install the CDATA 2001 Release 2 - Revision 2.0 patch file, you will require 40 MB of free hard disk space.

4. Please ensure that the CDATA 2001 products have been installed in the following order;

A) Install MapInfo - (Licence number required).

B) Install CDATA 2001 Release 2 - (Registration code required).

C) If you have purchased the additional CDATA 2001 Add-on Datapacks product, please install CDATA 2001 Add-on Datapacks - (Unlock code required).

D) If you have purchased the additional SEIFA 2001 Add-on Datapack product, please install SEIFA 2001 Add-On - (Unlock code required).

E) Install CDATA 2001 Release 2 - Revision 1.0 patch file.

F) Install CDATA 2001 Release 2 - Revision 2.0 patch file.
