About the Program
Why choose the ABS Graduate Development Program?
The ABS Graduate program offers an opportunity to put your skills and background into practice to shape Australia's future. As an ABS Graduate you will be joining an internationally recognised statistical agency where you can contribute to producing Australia’s key national statistics.
As a graduate you will:
- be placed in a permanent full-time role
- undertake a 9 month development program
- participate in on-the-job training specific to their role
- participate in a structured training program; a mixture of virtual, self-paced and group learning activities.
Most graduates commence at the APS 3 level ($57,438) and on successful completion of the program progress to the APS4 level ($62,996). ICT stream graduates commence at the APS 4 level ($62,996) and on successful completion of the program progress to the APS4 level ($70,858).
Our graduate roles are available in most of our capital city offices. Our diverse workforce has a range of educational qualifications and previous life and work experiences.
