How to find information on the ABS website?
  • Looking for Indigenous statistics? Visit Themes - Indigenous Statistical Releases for a range of related publications and articles. To get there, simply click on 'Themes' from the top menu on the ABS home page and choose 'Indigenous' from the Population category.

  • If you know the catalogue number or title of an ABS publication, use the Statistics link on the ABS home page.

  • Google it! - ABS commissioned Google to develop a search system specifically for the ABS website. In the top right-hand corner of the ABS homepage is the Google search box. Type in keywords and a search of all ABS related information will occur.

  • If you are looking for resources for the classroom, go to the Education pages of the website: www.abs.gov.au/teachers or www.abs.gov.au/students. You can also choose the Education link at the top of the ABS home page: www.abs.gov.au
  • If you are looking for classroom ideas, publications or general information about Education resources, try Education News. This online newsletter is produced four times a year and provides classroom ideas, feedback from teachers, links to publications, tips for finding information on the ABS website and more.
  • If you are after Census Data you can use the Census tab on the left side navigator or the top navigator of the ABS home page or via www.abs.gov.au/census.
