Sales of New Motor Vehicles, Australia, (cat. no. 9314.0) - Contains monthly information on new motor vehicles sales in each state/territory sourced from the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries. Data are provided in original, seasonally adjusted and trend estimated terms. A split between Passenger vehicles, Sports utility vehicles, Other vehicles and Total vehicles, is provided at the national level.
Motor Vehicle Census, Australia (cat. no. 9309.0) - For each state and territory, the number of vehicles on register by type of vehicle (passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles, rigid trucks, articulated trucks, non-freight carrying trucks, buses and motor cycles), year of manufacture, make, gross vehicle mass and fuel type.
Survey of Motor Vehicle Use, Australia (cat. no. 9208.0) - Comprises estimates, by state or territory of registration or area of operation, for private and commercial vehicles registered for road use with a motor vehicle registration authority, for number of vehicles, total and average kilometres travelled, driver characteristics, vehicle usage, fuel consumption and load carried; as well as statistics on buses, including kilometres travelled by type of bus and main type of service.
Rail Freight Movements, Australia, Summary - Electronic Delivery, 2001-02 and 2002-03 (cat. no. 9220.0.55.001) Provides statistics on tonnes and tonne-kilometres of rail freight moved in Australia. Information on tonnes moved by broad commodity grouping (based on the Australian Transport Freight Commodity Classification) and dissections of freight classified by liquid bulk, solid bulk and containerised are also available.
Bicycle Usage, Queensland, Oct 2003 (cat. no. 9215.3) Provides information about bicycle ownership and use by the Queensland population, including estimates of the number of bicycles per household, people who have cycled in the last 12 months, how often, when, the reasons for cycling and whether people cycling or not cycling have a driver's licence.
