WORK IN PROGRESS

Australian Transport Statistics Network (ATSN)
The ATSN provides a forum for a cross section of transport data users and providers from various government and non-government agencies. The ATSN allows for stakeholders involved in research, planning and policy formation to work collaboratively and effectively.

Current topics covered by the ATSN include: the need for metadata standards that are nationally consistent, understanding the need for and requirements from proposed Freight Movement and Transport Activity Surveys, the development of modelled Motor Vehicle Use data for 2008 and research into the potential to link vehicles with industry.
