Data collection activities for January 2011 continued to be affected by the floods in Queensland and other states as well as cyclone Yasi in North Queensland. This has not affected the data quality or reliability of the Australian series.

The estimates for Queensland industry sub-groups and sample sector series for both December 2010 and January 2011 have been impacted by lower than usual response rates to the survey and therefore should be used with caution.

Original estimates for December 2010 have been revised as a result of updated information received from survey respondents. Original estimates for both December 2010 and January 2011 may be subject to revision in future releases.

Revisions to seasonally adjusted estimates are due to the concurrent methodology for deriving seasonal factors.
