This publication contains estimates of the quantity of grain held in grain storage facilities operated by the major bulk grain handling companies and grain traders in Australia as at 31 October 2007.


KEY POINTS

The total quantity of grain held in storage facilities operated by the major grain handling companies at 31 October 2007 was 2.5 million tonnes reflecting a decrease in grain stocks of 300,000 tonnes from 30 September 2007. Current stocks are 7.9 million tonnes (76%) below the October 2006 level.
