This group covers R&D directed towards the manufacture of computer hardware and electronic equipment, including consumer electronic equipment.
This group has seven objectives:

    861601 Computer and Electronic Office Equipment
    861602 Consumer Electronic Equipment (excl. Communication Equipment)
    861603 Integrated Circuits and Devices
    861604 Integrated Systems
    861605 Processor Modules
    861606 Satellite Navigation Equipment
    861699 Computer Hardware and Electronic Equipment not elsewhere classified

    Exclusions:
    a) Whitewares, electrical appliances, machinery and equipment is included in Group 8614 Machinery and Equipment.
    b) Communication equipment is included in Group 8617 Communication Equipment.
    c) Development of computer software and the provision of programming services are included in Group 8902 Computer Software and Services.
