ABOUT THIS RELEASE

Outlines the redevelopment of the Established House Price Index. Changes include, a new benchmark series based on a date of contract exchange, with improved controls for compositional changes and a preliminary series constructed from applications for loans to purchase established dwellings with housing market lenders (banks, etc).
