Presents data about the Australian mining industry: estimates of employment; sales and service income; wages and salaries; industry value added; trading profit; earnings before interest and tax; operating profit before tax; selected components of these aggregates and derivations; and capital expenditure. State and territory estimates of employment, wages and salaries, sales and service income, and industry value added for mining (excluding services to mining) are included. Also presents estimates of the value of mineral production by state and for the Northern Territory, drawn from their administrative sources. Details of production quantity will be available on spreadsheets to be released concurrently.
This publication was produced in alternate years with 8414.0 until this publication ceased. The 1998/99 edition of 8414.0 was the final issue.
