All ISPs are surveyed in the December collection. For the June collection, only those with more than 10,000 subscribers (about 30-35 ISPs) are surveyed.
Contains details of Internet activity supplied by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in Australia. It includes information on Internet subscribers and their type of connection, the type of user (business/household), the volume of data downloaded, the speed of the Internet connection and the location of the subscriber (by state or territory).
The frequency of this publication reduced from quarterly to half yearly with the release of the September 2001 issue and was suspended after the release of the March 2005 issue. The frequency will be half yearly commencing with the September 2006 issue. Collection quarters will change to June and December commencing December 2007.
