This publication presents national crime statistics relating to victims of a selected range of personal and household offences that have been recorded by police. These statistics provide indicators of the level and nature of recorded crime victimisation in Australia and a basis for measuring change over time.

This publication provides a breakdown of the selected offences by victim characteristics (age and sex); the nature of the incident (weapon use and location); and the outcome of police investigations at 30 days. These data are also available by state and territory. The collection also provides for selected states and territories information about the relationship of the offender to the victim and the Indigenous status of the victim.
