UNIVERSITIES AUSTRALIA AGREEMENT
The ABS/Universities Australia Agreement provides a range of microdata products and services to universities. While access to ABS CURFs has been included in the Agreement for many years, from 2009 the Agreement has also included access to Census Table Builder, use of Expanded CURFs in the on-site Data Lab (ABSDL) in ABS Offices and, access to Statistics New Zealand Basic CURFs.
Does the Agreement mean that access is free?
No, and yes. Universities Australia has paid for access on behalf of the Australian universities participating in the Agreement. But individual staff members and students are not charged for their use of the products and services covered under the Agreement.
Thirty five universities participate in the Agreement. For a list of these and more information about the products and services provided by the Agreement see the ABS/Universities Australia Agreement web page.
