ABOUT THIS RELEASE

The 1992 Survey of Families in Australia CURF consists of unidentified statistical records containing data on 33,981 persons at household, family and persons levels. The file contains data on State geographic dissection, family/household structure, basic demographics, extra-household relationships, marital history, mobility, fertility, ethnicity, employment, employment support, barriers to labour force participation, transport to work, income, income support, education, payment of education expenses, housing, accommodation support, health, personal care/home help, balance between work and caring (including transport) for those with an illness, disability or who need care, transport of children to school and child care. An additional residential mobility variable linked to the geographic areas in the standard Unit Record File has been added to the file.
