Bridging the data gaps for family, domestic and sexual violence provides advice about strategies and actions required to address critical data gaps and improve the evidence base in this field. It builds on the conceptual information presented in Defining the data challenge for family, domestic and sexual violence (cat. no.4529.0) by presenting and prioritising the key policy and research questions that remain unanswered and highlighting the current data environment. It identifies key data gaps by examining the information flows through organisations that provide services to those affected by family, domestic and sexual violence. The three priority data enhancement themes are presented and improvements in these areas are expected to enhance the overall quality of Australia's statistical assets and lay the foundations for the establishment of a National Data Collection and Reporting Framework.
