Although Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) connections grew by 1.3% to 4.6 million in the six months ending December 2011, the percentage share of DSL continued to decline, accounting for 39% of access connections.

In December 2011, the number of satellite connections decreased by 6.0% compared to June 2011 to 100,000 subscribers. While fibre subscriber numbers were still relatively small (37,000), the number increased by 18.3% in the same period.
