EMPLOYMENT

During 2011-12, 41.1% (or about 60,000 persons) of employment in the Selected mining industry was recorded against Western Australia, followed by Queensland with 27.4% (or about 40,000 persons) and New South Wales contributed 18.5% (or about 27,000 persons) of the total.
