DATA QUALITY AND INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

This chapter provides information about data quality and taking account of data quality issues when interpreting results. It is important that data users are aware of data quality issues and be guided by these when interpreting results.

Data quality aspects detailed in this chapter include:

    • Sampling variability;
    • Non-sampling error; and
    • Other factors affecting estimates (including scope, coverage, reference periods and collection periods).
