In Victoria, winter cereals such as wheat, barley and oats are the principal crops grown in terms of area and production. In recent years however, alternative winter crops such as canola and field peas have been introduced to the crop rotation in some areas.

Victoria also produces a range of small-area intensive fruit and vegetable crops.
