SEARCHING FOR A DATA SOURCE

There are three main ways to navigate this directory - by collection name (listed alphabetically), level of geographic coverage or by the elements defined in the Conceptual Framework for Family and Domestic Violence, 2009 (cat. no. 4529.0).

By collection name

To search for a data collection by title, select it from the Alphabetical index of data sources index page.

By level of geographic coverage

From the Contents page select the Geographic index of data sources then select the relevant level of coverage link. For example, to view only data sources with national coverage, select "Australia".

Using the Conceptual Framework for Family and Domestic Violence

Select the FDV Framework link. This page contains a pictorial overview of the Conceptual Framework for Family and Domestic Violence. Click on an element or sub-element links to navigate to another page which comprises a list of data sources which relate to the selected element (Context; Risk; Incident; Responses; Impacts/outcomes; Programs, research and evaluation) or sub-element (Environmental factors; Individual psycho-social factors; Community prevalence; Community incidence; Understandings and acknowledgements of risk and safety; Informal responses; Formal system responses). Further information on the degree to which a data source can inform a particular element or sub-element is provided within each data source entry, in the "Relationship to Conceptual Framework for Family and Domestic Violence" section.
