ACCRUAL OPERATING RESULTS, 2011–12


The GFS net operating balance for All Levels of Government in 2011–12 was –$35,520m for the General Government sector and –$38,152m for the Total Public sector.

GFS net lending/borrowing in 2011–12 was –$62,012m for the General Government sector and –$78,169m for the Total Public sector.

(b) The Multi–jurisdictional sector contains units where jurisdiction is shared between two or more governments, or classification of a unit to a jurisdiction is otherwise unclear. The main types of units currently falling into this category are the public universities.
