This article presents a range of information about the socioeconomic circumstances of Australia's older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Older Indigenous people are defined as 55 years and over in these analyses. Data have been drawn from the 2004-05 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Survey, the 2002 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Survey, and a range of other relevant data sources.
