The following microdata product is available from the Childhood Education and Care Survey, June 2014
To apply for access to TableBuilder, register and apply in the Registration Centre.
This product provides data on child care arrangements for children aged 0-12 years, early childhood education and learning for children aged 0-8 years, some aspects of families' requirements for formal care or preschool and the education, income and working arrangements of parents with children aged 0-12 years. A detailed list of data items is available on the Downloads tab.
The microdata enables users to tabulate, manipulate and analyse data. Steps to confidentialise the dataset are taken to ensure the integrity of data and maintain confidentiality of respondents. This includes removing any information that might uniquely identify an individual, reducing the level of detail for some items and collapsing some categories.
Approved users can combine information about child care arrangements, children and parents to enable in-depth studies of child care issues.
