ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND INQUIRIES

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

ABS publications draw extensively on information provided freely by individuals, businesses, governments and other organisations. Their continued cooperation is very much appreciated: without it, the wide range of statistics published by the ABS would not be available. Information received by the ABS is treated in strict confidence as required by the Census and Statistics Act 1905.

Data used in these articles was provided by the Tasmanian Department of Education, the Australian Government Department of Education and Training and the Social Research Centre. The ABS gratefully acknowledges their co-operation and advice.

The ABS would also like to acknowledge the valuable advice provided by the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

This Measuring Educational Outcomes over the Life-course project was partially funded in 2013-14 through the former Strategic Cross-Sectoral Data Committee for Early Childhood, Education and Training, to which the Australian Government Department of Education and Training, the ABS, and each of the states and territories contributed. This committee, which previously operated within the COAG Education Council governance structure, was responsible for supporting improvements to cross-sectoral education and training data and facilitating measurement of learning over the life-course through data sharing and data integration. This committee was disbanded in September 2014.
